We are gearing up for our annual meeting, and are once again so pleased to be hosted by the Washington State History Museum. Please join us February 4th at 9am for coffee and donuts, gratefully provided by House of Donuts! The meeting will begin at 9:45am with review of previous year minutes, adoption of 2017 budget, and election of new Board Members and Officers.
Nominations are still being accepted for Awards, and we look forward to recognizing the great work of our colleagues in Pierce County at the Annual meeting. Please get in your nominations by January 8th for full consideration.
All members of the Heritage League of Pierce County are also cordially invited to attend a symposium beginning at 1pm at the WSHM. Entitled “Filled with Grace”, the symposium will discuss the Japanese Internment policy that was put in place February 19th, 1942 and will conclude with the premier of a new film about that difficult period. Admission will be free for Heritage League of Pierce County members.
